Tree planting in Spring Hill

Join us March 20 to Plant Trees in Spring Hill

Did you know that silt and sediment from erosion is a major contributor to water pollution in our Tennessee streams? If you are looking for an opportunity to make a real difference for the health of our waterways, please join us on Saturday. We will be planting trees which stabilizes the soil and helps improve water quality.

Meet us at Walden Creek Apartments March 20, 2010 - 9am-1pm. Please bring gloves, wear work boots and bring water to drink. We will meet at the office at 9 am and work until about 1 pm.

We will also be giving trees away as part of the Tennessee Tree Project. Suggested donation is $3 per tree for seedlings.

PLEASE REGISTER for directions and updates. To register or for more information, please email with "March 20 Volunteer" in subject line to: tec@tectn.org.

The Council's Duck River Opportunities Project engages volunteers in stream bank restoration and other projects to protect the Duck River which was named by National Geographic as one of the four most biologically rich places in the world. Click here for more information.
